Autochina is a big annual event, taking place in uneven years in Shanghai, in even years in Beijing. To be specific: at the New International Exhibiton Centre in Shunyi. This is next to Pinnacle Plaza, Schools (BSB, ISB) and a lot of Compounds. So if you live in River Garden for example be prepared for two weeks of heaviest traffic, the most terrible traffic jam you have ever seen.
The intersection of Tianbei Road/Yuyang Road is crazy during this exhibiton. Coming from Jingmi Road it is not allowed to turn left into Yuyang Road. You may not turn left until Yosemite/ISB.
Not only the streets, also the shops are overcrowded. So be prepared for the next Autochina in 2020.
